BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (June 20, 2008) – A second coalition service member died of gunshot wounds suffered while conducting operations in Helmand province Thursday around 8 p.m. Two service members died and another was injured in the operation. The wounded service member was taken to Farah Hospital for treatment. Coalition forces secured the scene. The names and nationalities of the service members will be released pending notification of next of kin. Update: BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (June 20, 2008) – A second coalition service member died of gunshot wounds suffered while conducting operations in Helmand province Thursday around 8 p.m. This is the second service member who died as a result of the operation. The service member was among the woulded evacuated for medical treatment previously. The names and nationalities of the service members will be released pending notification of next of kin. |
