BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (July 20, 2008) – Afghan National Security and Coalition forces used precision airstrikes to eliminate several militants in Farah province early this morning. One of the militants targeted in the airstrikes was an area leader. He was a weapons facilitator and planned militant operations.
The strike was called while the militants were in an open area to prevent harm to non-combatants and civilian structures. |
