| Nawa District Medical Clinic Treats Hundreds of Afghans |

Paratroopers from 2-508th PIR, 82nd Airborne Division along with Afghan National Police continue to provide medical care to villagers from the Angu and Malik Din villages in the Nawa District, Ghazni Province.
Women waiting for treatment in Nawa. 20 women were treated the first day, and over 50 women the second day, and approximately the same number of small girls over the 2-day MEDCAP.
PV2 Sean Testa checks the ear of a local Afghan boy, who had been complaining of ear pain. The boy was one of almost 200 that were assisted at the Nawa VMO.
PFC Daniel Larson, B Company 2/508, discusses the finer points of hygiene and sanitation with a patient at the Nawa clinic.
SPC Beverly McDaniel hands out medications to a small child in Nawa. The visit by 3 female medics and 1 female interpreter was the first professional medical treatment for women in Nawa in over 1 year, potentially longer.
MAJ Hay administers treatment to local nationals at the Nawa clinic, while providing nutritional advice and guidance on how to manage during the challenges of the harsh winter.
1LT Mordechai Sorkin and SFC Craig Kroes stand outside the gate of the Nawa clinic, as the doctors treat and provide aid to over 200 people from the district.
A man recieves medicine from an Afghan National Policeman at the VMO. The medicine was to help treat the child’s ear infection.
Women in Malik Din line up for treatment at the VMO. Over 150 women and children were afforded the opportunity to see doctors, as a result of the local Afghan police and government.
